Angela Walker primarily practices in the areas of employment litigation and counseling, disability discrimination, zoning, and land use disputes. Her specialties include federal employee representation and other complex administrative proceedings. She regularly provides assistance in drafting employment policies and employee handbooks. In addition, she conducts training sessions on discrimination, harassment, Family and Medical Leave Act compliance, and disability accommodations issues.
Ms. Walker is a 2000 graduate of the University of Michigan and 2004 graduate of The University of Michigan Law School. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Walker worked for the State Bar of Michigan's Open Justice Commission, where she assisted in coordinating Michigan's first pro-bono project for domestic violence victims. While in law school, she interned at the Maya Angelou Public Charter School, the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, and Legal Services of South Central Michigan. She joined Nacht & Associates in August of 2004.
Ms. Walker is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Michigan and the U.S. District Court of the Western District of Michigan. She currently serves as the Treasurer for the Washtenaw County branch of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. She is a member of the Michigan Employment Lawyers Association and the Washtenaw County Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section.
Ms. Walker volunteers at the Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living and the University of Michigan Cancer Center. She also serves on a development committee for the Neutral Zone.
