David A. Nacht

David Nacht, the firm founder, holds degrees from Harvard College ('87) and The University of Michigan Law School ('92), where he served as an editor of the Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Nacht served as a staff member to former U.S. Senator John Glenn on the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee, where he organized committee hearings and assisted the Senator in negotiating the passage of multiple pieces of legislation.
Mr. Nacht started the firm in January 1996 in Ann Arbor, after previously practicing law at Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. - Michigan's largest law firm. Nacht also clerked for a federal district judge, Stewart Newblatt, in the Eastern District of Michigan. Mr. Nacht has published articles on employment law and a book chapter on ethics in government. He often speaks locally on legal and ethical issues, and speaks regularly as a guest lecturer at the University of Michigan Law School. He has served as faculty for the American Bar Association Health Law section and formerly chaired the Washtenaw County Bar Association Employment Law section.
Currently Mr. Nacht serves on the board of the Ann Arbor Transportation Authority, the boards of several non-profit organizations and community groups, and is an elected Scio Township Trustee.
Nacht is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and is admitted to practice before federal district courts in Michigan, the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals and the US Supreme Court. He is also member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, Michigan Bar Association, and the National and Michigan Employment Lawyers' Associations. David focuses on Employment Law, Sexual Harassment, ERISA, Commercial Litigation, Education Law, Constitutional Law, and Land Use disputes.
Jennifer B. Salvatore

Jennifer Salvatore handles litigation matters for the firm in the areas of employment and commercial litigation. She focuses on gender discrimination and sexual harassment work and represents a number of corporate clients, including many women-owned and minority-owned businesses in breach of contract and other commercial disputes. Jennifer also represents executives and other professionals in employment and contract disputes and does writing, consulting and training work around gender issues.
Jennifer graduated with honors from Miami University (Ohio) in 1994 with a B.A. in Political Science and Journalism. In 1997 she received her J.D., cum laude, from The University of Michigan Law School, where she was a finalist in the Campbell Moot Court Competition and an editor on the Journal of Gender & The Law and The Journal of Law Reform.
After law school, Jennifer spent four years in the litigation department at Jenner & Block, LLP in Chicago, where her practice focused on complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts for fortune 500 companies. Jennifer has also represented a wide range of clients on a pro bono basis, including political asylum seekers, charter schools, and criminal defendants.
From 1999 to 2001, Jennifer served as the first recipient of the Polikoff/Gautreaux fellowship for Public Interest Lawyers at Business & Professional People for the Public Interest, a nationally prominent law and policy center based in Chicago. She worked to help create the Young Women's Leadership Charter School of Chicago, a public all-girls school; organized a design competition for new Chicago public schools; and crafted a legal challenge to exclusionary zoning in Chicago's suburbs.
Upon returning to Michigan in 2003, Jennifer worked at Kanji & Katzen, PLLC in Ann Arbor, where she represented Native American tribes in Federal and Tribal Courts.
Jennifer is the immediate past President of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan (Washtenaw County Region) and serves on the Board of Directors of the Women's Center of Southeastern Michigan. She is a Fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation and received the Ann Dee Harper Memorial Award from the Midwest Immigrant and Human Rights Center. She has lectured at Miami University, the University of Michigan, and in the trial advocacy program at the University of Chicago Law School. She is a member of the Bars of the states of Michigan and Illinois, the 6th and 7th Circuit Courts of Appeal, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan and the Northern District of Illinois.
Angela L. Walker

Angela Walker primarily practices in the areas of employment litigation and counseling, disability discrimination, zoning, and land use disputes. Her focus areas include federal employee representation and other complex administrative proceedings. She regularly provides assistance in drafting employment policies and employee handbooks. In addition, she conducts training sessions on discrimination, harassment, Family and Medical Leave Act compliance, and disability accommodations issues.
Ms. Walker is a 2000 graduate of the University of Michigan and 2004 graduate of The University of Michigan Law School. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Walker worked for the State Bar of Michigan's Open Justice Commission, where she assisted in coordinating Michigan's first pro-bono project for domestic violence victims. While in law school, she interned at the Maya Angelou Public Charter School, the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, and Legal Services of South Central Michigan. She joined Nacht & Associates in August of 2004.
Ms. Walker is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Michigan and the U.S. District Court of the Western District of Michigan. She currently serves as the Treasurer for the Washtenaw County branch of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. She is a member of the Michigan Employment Lawyers Association and the Washtenaw County Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section.
Ms. Walker volunteers at the Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living and the University of Michigan Cancer Center. She also serves on a development committee for the Neutral Zone.
David M. Blanchard

David Blanchard is a respected trial lawyer with a reputation for fighting injustices regularly heaped upon honest hard-working individuals and small business owners. He is recognized for his aggressive, goal-oriented advocacy and advice by clients, attorneys and judges.
David Blanchard joined the Ann Arbor law firm of Nacht & Associates in 2004. He is an Ann Arbor native and two-time University of Michigan graduate. He received his B.A. in political science in 1996 and a J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 2003.
David Blanchard came to law school from a successful career as a broadcast journalist, covering local politics and environmental issues in Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County. During Law School, Blanchard focused his studies on international law, constitutional law, and criminal theory. He served as an Executive Articles Editor at the Michigan Journal of International Law. He has interned at the United Nations and worked as a summer associate for a major east coast law firm. He has editorial credits on substantial projects in criminal theory and international law. Blanchard came to the Firm from a federal judicial clerkship with the Honorable Stanley S. Brotman in the District of New Jersey. He joined Nacht & Associates in September of 2004.
David Blanchard primarily practices in the areas of civil rights, commercial and employment litigation, and felony criminal defense. Blanchard handles all employment related matters, from harassment, discrimination or retaliation lawsuits to medical leave, benefits issues or severance negotiations. He appears in both state and federal court, including the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Federal Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
David Blanchard is currently chair of the National Employment Lawyers Association New Lawyers Committee. Blanchard is also active in the Washtenaw County Bar Association, where he serves as Chair of the Labor and Employment Section. He is also Vice-President of the Washtenaw County Trial Lawyers Association.
Natalie M. Walter

Natalie M. Walter has worked as a litigation paralegal since receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Legal Assistant Studies from the ABA-Approved Program at Eastern Michigan University in 1998. Her undergraduate coursework included a semester long internship in the legal department of a Fortune 500 Company in Dearborn, Michigan. In addition, Natalie holds a Master's Degree of Liberal Studies in Interdisciplinary Technology from Eastern Michigan University. Her graduate coursework included concentrations in Legal Administration and Communications.
Before coming to Nacht & Associates in July 2004, Natalie honed her skills working at other law firms. She worked with a sole practitioner in Ann Arbor assisting in a variety of cases including family law, civil litigation, and appellate work to the United States Supreme Court. While working in Detroit, Natalie worked on cases involving multi-million dollar state and federal litigation.
