Many white Americans have no idea what “driving while Black” means for so many Americans. The entire relationship with the police is a completely different experience for many law abiding Blacks than it is for whites. It can easily result in a pile up of traffic fines, court appearances and ultimately a misdemeanor record or losing a job– from too many missed work days for court or loss of a driver’s license.
