Nacht gets probation for federal court clients

On August 2, 2022, David Nacht obtained a sentence of two years of supervised release for a client who pled guilty to felony fraud in federal court in the Eastern District of Michigan.  Nacht focused on the letters of support his client received, her steady employment history, and her care for her five-year-old triplets.

In 2021, David Nacht also obtained a probationary sentence for another client in federal court in Detroit who pled guilty to felony obstruction of justice. In that case, Nacht focused on the client’s mental health history and successful treatment and he urged his client to obtain dozens of support letters.

Nacht states “with each case, I consider the facts, my client and the judge.  I make the best argument that I can for that client.”
Look at the sentences in federal court: probation, called supervised release in the federal system, is a rare event.  But not for Nacht’s clients.
